Wide range of vocabulary, but teaching method not effective

While this CD has a lot of words, and the coordinating pictures are nice, I didn't find this program effective. There is no repetition. They show you the word and pronounce it and then you repeat it aloud and it's on to the next word. I find that it is necessary to manually repeat each section multiple times to really learn the words. It would be a great improvement if you had to type the word, or if they at least repeated the words in random order so you really get them drilled into your head. There are other programs on the market (Before You Know It or BYKI) that are much more effective. Plus, despite the claims that this program was MAC & PC compatible, it never worked on my MAC. I am using this as a supplement to my other programs to increase my vocabulary.
